Chocolate Day 2011

There are three particular days to celebrate Chocolate Day. First Chocolate Day is on July 7th and US National Chocolate Day is on October 28th. The third and the most famous is World Chocolate Day, which is celebrated on September 4th.

History of Chocolate:

Chocolate is a sweet food made from the seed of Theobroma cacao tree. This Cacao tree cultivation was documented way back from 1100 BC in Mexico, Central and South America. The seeds of this Cacao tree have a little bitter taste and this is fermented and developed into a tasty flavor. Today, chocolates are in the form of cocoa solids, cocoa butter or other fat, and sugar. Milk chocolates are also found, which contain milk powder or condensed milk. However, white chocolates are also very popular among chocolate lovers, which contain cocoa butter, sugar, and milk without cocoa solids.
Today, chocolates are used in many festivals apart from Chocolate Day. Chocolates are used in Christmas, Easter and many other occasions with the most interesting way. Chocolate milk and hot chocolates are also used as cold beverages.

Importance of Chocolates for Human Body:

Chocolates contain alkaloids namely theobromine and phenethylamine, which are important for human body. The research says that the risk of heart problem is very less among chocolate eaters. Chocolate eating can also reduce blood pressure. Chocolate can sharpen the brain. There are many other important factors behind for eating chocolates. However, people who are suffering from obesity should avoid chocolates as it contains maximum fats.

Easy Making Tasty Chocolates on Chocolate Day:

You can easily make some tasty and yummy chocolates on Chocolate day to celebrate in your own style. Making chocolate is quite easy at home. Here is a recipe
Flourless Peanut Butter Chocolate –
Preparation Time:                            20 minutes
Cooking Time:                                12 minutes
Ingredients:
Sugar                                         1 cup
Creamy peanut butter                  1 cup
Egg                                           1 big in size
Vanilla extract                              1 teaspoon
Special Dark Hershey Kisses®     1 (12 ounces) package
Equipment:
1 big mixing bowl, oven, and other knives etc
Method of Preparation:
Take sugar, peanut butter, egg and vanilla in the big bowl and mix it properly up to 3 or 4 minutes. When the mixture will become visible powdery then you can make that mixture into desired shapes. You can make the shape of roll dough as 1 –inch ball because after making that shape you have to put it on 1-inch ungreased cookie sheet. Now bake this for 15 minutes
Take out the balls from the oven and separate cookie sheets from the balls. Add chocolate pieces on each hot cookie. Check both the portions are fixed properly. Again bake it for 3 minutes. Switch off the oven and wait for some time to get it cool completely. After some moment you can take the chocolates and refrigerate it.

Today, Chocolate Day is celebrated worldwide. People make many sweet and yummy chocolates on this day. This is an occasion of eating stylish chocolates.
